Hi everyone. I have a two boxfish in my aquarium amongst other fish and I noticed that my long horn boxfish starting hiding almost all of the time. I then observed the fish for about a half hour and realized that the other boxfish (a yellow boxfish) was taking bites out of the bottom of the long horn boxfish. The poor long horn now has a gaping flesh wound on its bottom side and I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you need to separate the box fish. Many fish from the same species tend to be territorial against other of their species. For example, a tomato clown wouldnt get along too well with a percula clown.

If you have a place to keep the long horned box fish while it heals, that would be great. Or take one back to the fish store, you might be able to get credit for other fish.
