how is the tank battle going?

I am so tired of waiting. I came close to giving up my california vacation. lol.

I just want to get the live rock and equipment I need. Then I can start to get fish and inverts. The good things is my tank will be well aged.

get some base rock if you can then you can put less lr in there to save some money and the base dryrock will turn into lr soon

it takes a while depending on how muck lr you get if you want 60lbs in your tank do it half live and half base and i a couple months it will all be live. the more live the better but this is a great way to save money

I think I will just do all live rock. I found 1 guy who has it for 2.50 a pound and another for 3.

Those are great prices. I purchased all LR too when I started my tanks. I was foolish and bought it from Company's online. Better deals are on Craigs list, fellow reefers, etc.

yea i bought almost all mine rock by rock then my father-in-law gave me the rest of his when he was moving since he had no place to set his 55 back up untill his house got built
