Reefing newb
i have many micro brittlestars but is there a reef safe brittle star or serpent star for my tank or do they just grow too big for my 10 gal?

I think pretty much every seastar gets too big until you're in the 40-55+ tanks. I want one, too, but I may be a little undersized.

alot of things i want are too big for my tank so only choice is bigger tank but that aint gonna happen for a long time so guess be happy with wot i got.thanks kyle just wanted second opinion as i thought tank too small:thumbsup:

Speaking of brittlestars, a guy at my LFS said that brittlestars can actually catch and kill fish. Is that true? I assume that meant when the fish are hiding in the rocks, as brittlestars usuallly hide under there.. I have a 60gal & my brittle star is getting big They will put out their feelers when they sense movement coming buy.

The green brittles can be very aggressive and be fish eaters. I've always had the brown ones and have never experienced them catching or killing a fish.
