Building my first refugium

Got everything switched over to the 29 gallon couple of days ago. I think today i am going to build my first refugium out of my old 20 gallon long. I have found a good design I like and think will work. Should I go with acrylic baffles or glass? Will acrylic stick to the glass aqurium wilh silicone or will glass baffles be better?

Acrylic baffles are easier to use -- Lowe's will even cut them in the store for you. Silicone is fine to stick the baffles in place, since it doesn't need to be 100% water tight. Be sure to use 100% silicone without any anti-microbial additives.

I have used the Loctite brand. It says aquarium safe on the back package.

If your hardware store doesnt cut the plexiglass, you can take a straight edge and a razor knife, score it a few times and then break it over the edge of a table.
