Foods and feeding – This shrimp feeds on the tube feed of echinoderms (true starfish) but can be trained to take other foods.

Supplements - Calcium, Magnesium, Iodine, Trace Elements

Aquarium suitability -

Reef compatibility – Yes

Captive care – This shrimp does best in a small tank with a small group. The normally feed on the tube feet of true star fish, but can be trained to eat other foods. However if they will not accept another food source be prepared to feed them starfish legs. A starfish can be kept in another tank, cutting off small pieces of the legs every few days. The legs should grow back as long as the starfish is kept in the proper environment. Like all invertebrates, they are extremely sensitive to nitrates and copper, and should only be kept in aquariums with pristine water conditions.
