buying coral on LR from a friend

A friend is shutting down his tank and Im buying some of his coral. He is giving me the coral on the whole piece of LR.

When bringing LR & coral from someone else's tank how do I treat or inspect the rock? Transporting & such. Do I leave their rock in their water until ready to transport? Ive seen their coral. Its nice. Its low maintenance coral. Zoas, a large Frogspawn, green striped mushroom., toadstool.

What is the proper way to transfer LR w/coral on it to my tank?

Just put it in a bucket of their water and then transport. Dont forget to dip!

Yes, I have my coralRX. Do I need to make up separate water and dip mixtures for each rock and coral? Or, is one dip prep used for all of them. Since they came from the same tank Im thinking only one Dip prep.

+1.. make sure to dip.. When dipping large items like corals on rocks I go to the pharmacy pick up a small bottle of iodide and mix 5 drops per gallon of saltwater in a bucket then dip the corals in.. gets to expensive dipping large items in Lugols or similar product, need to use to much..

They can all do in the same dip, I would just add the coralRX right to the bucket you used to transport the items.
