Can a manifold be connect to 1 of 2 returns

Can a manifold be connect to 1 of 2 returns if so are there any draw backs to this type of connection?

1 pump 2 return lines. Can I put the manifold on 1 of the two lines or do I have to set it up on the main line befor my return splits into to sepreate pipes

I would imagine you can plumb it however you want but the more lines you put on the less flow I think you'll get

Yes, you can... you just won't know how much flow you'll have through your manifold until you try it.
