Can't seem to keep the color on my Red Planet frags

All of my other corals look great, but my red planets never seem to keep their color. Any reasons why? My lights need to be changed, but all my other coral has fine color. I need to check my parems, see what they say.

They always start out like this

and up like this

There are two reasons I've never tried a red planet:
1. I've heard very few success stories of them keeping their colors long term
2. They're so expensive

Ive only heard of one person keeping them there true colors. They always seem to take on a more greenish appearance over time. Are you running an ULNS. If not, this may help. I think this coral in particular is very sensative to nutrients in the water. JMO.

How long have you had the frag? Mine got faded out and lost the colors. I've had it for almost 2 months and its finally starting to get some green and red back. It's only slightly green in a few places and turning red on a few coralites at the tips of the new growth.

Thats a sweet birdsnest on left of that, I have one only a lot smaller than that. Very sexy coral.

Ultra Low nutrient System. It is achieved by using the N/P pellets, ozone, or zeovit system. also, post some alk, cal, and phosphate numbers.
