Capturing a crab?

Isn't it reef safe? Why do you want to kill the little bugger? You're not one of those crab haters are you?

IMO they're "with caution". I've had them eat a bunch of my snails and the other day I caught one nipping at one of my stars and now it's leg is fallen off.

I got it...

Go rent a mantis from the LFS..tie a string to the tail of the mantis..(I haven't really thought that part out yet).

Drop him in the tank, have him dismantle the crab..voila! problem solved.

Now we've just gotta get the string on the mantis. We could always just stick a hook in the tail of the mantis like we do when we use crawdads for fishing.

I'm actually liking this idea more and more these days, LOL.

Just get a mantis and toss it in the tank.Wont be long till that crab is mantis food.:D Besides,Mantis aint as mean as their made out to be.

I've got a mantis, 2 mithrax crabs and a gorilla crab all in my refugium now for almost 2 months and none of them have gone after each other ... yet
