Casey's ity bity tank.

R3verb

Time to add some coral!
Alright all! I got a new tank for Christmas! It's a tiny 2 gallon tank that Im going to put at work. I'll upload picks later but here's the run-down.

2 gallon total
tiny little sump
LED lights
carbon filter
little sump pump.

I'm going to put a few mushrooms and a few zoas in there from my 90 gal tank with a rock and some sand and see what happens. Its going to be coral and snails and maybe a hermit crab. I'll get picks up soon!

So here is what I was thinking for stocking:

A few mushrooms
A few polyps
A forest of pulsing xenias

For livestock:
1 little cerith snail
1 tiger sand conch
1 hermit crab
MAYBE an urchin. It would need to be really small and stay small.

Since I'm not at work every day, I don't want to put anything in the tank that doesn't derive its energy from light. (aka no fish, inverts, etc)

Anybody have any good ideas for stocking?

I have the tank at home running with fresh water just to clean it out and make sure there are no leaks. It's looking good! I am going to pull some sand and a rock out of my 90gal DT at home and 2 gallons of water. That hopefully will keep it from cycling and I can start stocking it next week.

Ok so anybody have any thoughts on stocking? I can't be there to feed the tank every day (and I'd like to not have to have people at the office take care of it though they could). So any ideas?

I don't think anything you mentioned would require daily feeding. The light being on a timer should be sufficient IMO. It is adorable and I cant wait to see what you put in there.
You will need an ATO though

OK so what about a shrimp? Does a shrimp need feeding every day? Every week? I'd like to keep one interesting thing in the tank (a shrimp, a crab, a really cool snail, something!). Anything you can all think of?
