I've been trying to catch a stealthy BG Chromis for two weeks with a conventional trap door fish trap, but he won't go in. Does anyone have any tricks up their sleeve for catching fish in an aquarium?
Thanks,
RB

Just be sure to file the barb off the hook so you dont tear the chromis mouth.
Unfortunately there is no easy way. They hide in the rock and are almost impossible to find. You could drain the water into a large plastic trash to help your odds. Having someone with a net to help so you can go at it from two sides if also helpful.
Don't feed for a few days, and then put some nice stinky food inside the trap. You may need to leave it in there for a few days.
I use a liter bottle and make a type of minnow trap out of it. I have always caught my fish that way.
Just some tricks for future feed your fish with your net everyday then they will start to think the net has to do with food so they don't get to be afraid of the net.
