catching firefish

how do I catch a firefish that does not want to come out of hiding whatsoever

what type and I have tryed using a inverted bottle cap in the bottle and it should work but its been a few hours and its not gone in

You may have to take some rocks out and try cornering it with a net.

Sometimes it can take days for a fish to get comfortable enough with the presence of the soda bottle to go in to it. A few hours isn't much time.

Yep....I left my trap for my kole tang in the tank for a few days before I trapped him. Got him super confident in the trap, feeding him in there. Then one day, I just shut him in it :D

I've always had to resort to removing the rocks. My fish have always been too smart for fish traps. :)
