RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH
I have a 12 gallon tank also I was thing about putting a small plastic box in the tank with some Chaetomorpha in it . Since I don't have a refugium......yes/no any Ideas?

I say do it. Chaeto does a great job removing nutrients, any amount you put in there will help.

Toolman you have created an in tank refugium that's all. Very good and effective. And in fact they sell them too.

Make sure to not let it's grow get out of hand in the DT, which it can easily do. Chaeto grows extremely fast in the right conditions. Also, pull out any loose pieces you see floationg around the tank and stuck in the powerheads or they'll start to grow.

I got a plastic 1G tank above my 20G. A cheap pump pushes water from the top of the main tank up to the 1G cheato fuge via a tube. The 1G has a hole drilled in it near the top and thru that water comes back down via a tube to the main tank.
