Captive care – This is a filter-feeding worm, with the rest of the body buried in the rock it’s attached to. Interestingly, the crown is always paired. The worm prefers a shaded area, like under a rock overhang. It comes in a variety of colors It requires pristine water conditions, small amount of nitrates or metals are toxic to it. If the worm feels stressed it will retreat into its tube. If the worm is temporarily subjected to stressful conditions it may drop its crown and then regrow it. The worm will do best in an established aquarium.
