Clown killing candy-cane

My clown has been hosting my candy cane for a couple months. The health of the candy cane has been declining in the past couple weeks. Could the stress produced by the clown hosting it cause the candy cane to go belly up?

yes. that is a real possibility. I lost a flowerpot and a frogspawn to a tomato clown hosting them. He also had a nem to live in, but chose to branch out his real estate. It would be worth it to try to move the candycane to a different spot and replace the coral with green star polyps or yellow star polpys - something that will not die and see if it will start hosting that. I found that they host a spot, and whatever is in that spot. Good luck.

oh, I almost forgot... if you have a sump, you can put the candycane in the sump for three or four days to let the clown find a new coral to irritate.
