clown losing color

I have 2 onyx clowns and one of them seems to be losing his orange color and the other seems to be getting more vibrant is it normal for clowns to get lighter in color

It is normal for them to change colors. If one is turning into a female, it will normally get darker. The male will stay brighter and lighter colored (and small).

ok this makes a lot of sense because the one who is "losing color" is the smaller and less dominate one... thanks
