Clownfish swimming near surface

I have noticed during the last 2 days my maroon clown that I am quarantining is swimming near the surface constantly. Is this due to lack of oxygen? I have a sponge filter going in the tank.

I'm betting its just being a clown.Sometimes they'll stay close to the surface like that just because thats where they want to be.

My clowns will sometimes just hangout pretty much unmoving for 30 minutes at a time in the sand somewhere, then after resting or w/e they go about their business.

No, I'm fairly sure a good number stay. Specially down here close to San Antonio.

yeah my clown durring the night gets close to the surface and swims into the current caused by my return pump. but doesnt do it at all when the lights are on
