    Hi guys and Girls,

I am having a James bond night on Saturday with cocktails and blackjack. I was just just wondering if anyone has held a cocktail party before and has any tip on the fewest ingredients to make the most cocktails etc....

    Cheers

    Rich

If you've having a bond night then you've got to have some martinis! Just wouldn't be the same without it :D.

    Go for the Vesper:

No idea what Kina Lillet is, but I've seen "Lillet" in shops before which must be the same thing :).

With that Gin and Vodka you'll be able to make lots of other things - Cosmopolitans for the ladies, G&T's, etc... Maybe get some Whisky in too.

    Enjoy :D.

Lillet is a wine and citrus liqueur blend. Don't forget the twist of lemon for the Vesper.

For any cocktail party you should have the basics: Gin, Vodka, Tequila, Rum, Spiced Rum, Whiskey and Bourbon. Then you need your mixes. Sour mix, cola, fruit juices, tonic water, water, cranberry etc. Don't forget the other essentials such as bitters, vermouth, Rosa's sweet lime etc. Also you will need garnishes depending on the preferred drinks, lemon, lime and oranges for sure...you could also do mint and basil. Probably should have some salt and sugar available too.

Don't forget a shaker or three and a few jiggers for measuring. A muddling spoon and cup would be a nice touch and a blender on hand would be great. Oh and ice definitely don't forget the ice!

That's what I come up with of the top of my head, maybe concentrate on a few cocktail recipes and make sure you have 100% of each ingredient required for your theme then have the other stuff available for those inclined to mix? HTH
