i thought about building one but my nitrates are 0 so i would have no clue if is is working or no. but i would also like to know more about them

Personally,I think your better off with just plain ole good husbandery and maintance routines.

Seems like 90% of the folks that tryed it,saw no difference in their water quality.

i have to say what works or me is lots of rock and a plenium and a dsb in my fuge.

Well I'll admit I made one and it works. I use to have nitrates in the 20 but now 0. I even been doing less water changes. Very easy to make all you need is PVC,tubing,bio balls, and fitting to hold the tubing. Seeing I already had a lot of the stuff just sitting around I figured to give it a try. It's one of though things that some believes work and others don't.
