holy crap its cold out there, minus 30 celcius, with the wind its minus 48. bahamas are looking pretty good right now. going to have to work extra just to pay for the heat. northern ontario is such a great place to live in the wintertime.

cant transfer into the states. i need a work visa even working for the same company. i work for the great lakes district. in order to go to another district i have to quit and then get rehired in the new district. plus and this is a big plus, i make substantually more money in canada then i would in the states working for the same company

cant transfer into the states. i need a work visa and i need to quit and get rehired down there. cn is kind of weird. each district is an entity in itself and your sinyority is only good in that district. i work in the great lakes district which is from Toronto to Armstrong. a distance of about 1500 miles with 4 crew change off points. plus canadian railroaders get paid substantially more then their american counterparts
