Connecting Filter to Chiller - Different hose Size/Type Issues

Quick question that I am hoping someone has delt with before.

I have a Jebo Chiller with 12mm internal/16mm external diameter hose and a fluval filter which runs a ribbed hose.

I'd like to actually connect the two together so the water flows from the filter into the chiller but can't work out how to connect the two different hose types. The attached photo shows the filter, chiller and hoses.

Any suggestions?

Got a piece of small hard tubing you can use as a nipple?

change the tubing on the fluval filter from the output valve.but why use a canister filter anyway.they are nitrate factories

I've been pretty happy with the canister filter to date and haven't had any issues with nitrates since I have been using it. As long as you keep it clean it is fine.

I'll have to check how other tubing on the output valve will go. Probably the best bet though.
