Reefing newb
OK everyone....I have decided to by a mated pair of green mandarins. I want to culture my own pods and I'm wondering if it is really necessary to feed them phyto or can I get away with just feeding small amounts of fish food?

Get the mandarins already on man made food. You will be spending a shit ton of money trying to raise copepods. You can do what ever you want, I know I won't waste my time on those little guys again. Go ora.
