Coral identification please

    Took a trip to the lfs today and saw this bright blue coral. It wasn't listed for sale and the guy didn't know the name. So I'm hoping someone here will know. They just had a tiny patch of it. But to have it covering a large area would look awesome!

    Looks like blue-green symponium(sp). Nice pickup.

    Unfortunatly it was in their display tank so they didn't sell it to me. Im going to ask them if they can frag it off for me though.

    Good call Smitty. I researched this also. I would like to add it to my tank. I will be on the look out. Does the tank it was in have LED's on it?

    Wow. I couldn't find one site that had a picture of it that was that blue. Did you use your camera phone? If so that may be it.
    Regardless, nice coral and i will be on the look out for a frag. I need more encrusting polyps like I need another hole in the head........

    Yea I used my iPhone but they look that blue in person also. I've said he would frag it for me once it grows out a bit.
