I purchased a used tank that was not in use. For the past 5 weeks I have added live rock and used the (what I thought was dead coral branches) to cylcle the tank. Levels are good and have added a cleaning crew and a few fish. I noticed some red polyps growing on the branches, is this possible?

If you see them, they must be there, so I'd say it's possible. :) Normally stuff doesn't come in on dry/dead rocks, but I suppose things could stay dormant for a while (maybe?), or could have started somewhere else in your tank and you are only first noticing them on the branches.
Post pics of them, and we'll ID them as a friend or a foe.

What do they look like? They could be aiptasia. Which are a reddish color.
