hi,
I am very new to this salwater fish keeping but I have found you can transplant a little piece of that algae to another rock and it will grow rather easily, I took a couple tiny sliver with some tweezer and pushed it in to some holes on the top of a rock it took off almost overnight, and the piece I removed grew back in a couple days it seems to be very resilant once establised on a rock..
