Coraline

All my purple coraline is dying off and being replaced by green ones...how weird. Is this a sign of even more matured tank? Here are some pics (stupid asterina stars are everywhere):

I like the green stuff. It's easier to scrape off. I don't know what brings the green stuff on, it seems to grow in spurts in my tank.

Mine has not turned green yet but has started to turn white. Like you, I am not sure why the color change, I hope it is not the sign of something bad getting ready to happen. I am just getting things going the way I wanted!!

The green algae in your tank pics above is probably not green coralline.
My tank is about 13 months old and I am beginning to see some minor bleaching of coralline where it never got dry. I am also seeing more of the same green stuff in your pictures. My calcium is at least 400ppm but recently my Ph has come down from 8.3 to about 8. Alkalinity is a bit off too. Is coralline greatly affected by Ph? Maybe its simply a case of one algae out competing another.
