Corner Tank - Visual Problems

Hi,

I saw someone on craigslist is selling a 92 gallon corner glass tank with a fluval fx5 filter for $200. I am interested in it, but was curious about the problems with a corner aquarium. Anyone have experience with them?

Thanks!

Me personally, I'm not crazy about tanks that bow out in the front. My NanoCube does it, and it makes it difficult to see things sometimes. You can't look at anything at an angle without everything looking distorted.

With a corner aquarium, your only concerns will be lack of light spread (since you won't have a light that 'fits' perfectly over the top) and swimming room; even though it's 92 gallons, a 3ft tank isn't enough room for a tang.

If you're not interested in a tang, then it's no biggie. Otherwise, a corner tank is great for corals and smaller fish.
