Crocea placement

LOL. So what if the clam is laying on its side in the sand? Lots of them do. That's normal. I would second the opinion to leave it alone.
 
There is one way to keep a clam where you want it.
Superglue his ass to the rock.Thats what I did with mine.
 
I am planning on some crocea's for my 40 gallon tank, how many can I reallistically place in that size tank?

My current fish load is one false percula, one six line wrasse (for clam parasite control) and I plan on leaving it at that.

My coral loads are light, 4 soft corals, 2 lps, 3 sps, and some mushroom corals, green star polyp, green sea mats. I plan on introducing a bubble tip anenome.

I want as many croceas or other tridacnids as are reasonable in this tank.
I have a Korralin calcium reactor, and this lighting

they don't count toward bio-load. You can keep a few, maybe three or so. Place them on the sand bed. be careful tho, some clams get pretty huge, like Gigas
