Damsel question

I've got a 55g which im thinking of turning into a FOWLR tank. Move my corals to my 30g. What im thinking is doing nothing but yellow tail and blue damsels in that 55 under some intense T5 lights to really bring out that color. How many damsels do you think will be good for that tank keeping chems under check. I've got 85lbs of live rock with a 3 gallon HOB refugium for nitrate consumption. The tank is cycled and has a nice bio filter in place.

There isn't a formula to figure that out. I would probably add slowly and monitor your water numbers. The tank should tell you when it's had enough.

about 27 inches of fish but i dont know how much fighting you will have in you tank
