Dead cleaner shrimp

Reefing newb
Came home last night and found my cleaner shrimp dead. It is in a 20L with about 10 lbs of liverock a sixline wrasse and a damsel, 1 mushroom and about 5 crabs and 5 snails. All levels are good, nitrate is around 20. I did start adding (Kent) iodine, about two drops per day, in the past two weeks, could the addition of iodine caused the death? Any thoughts?, Im at a loss.
Thanks
Eric

BTW sorry about the loss of your shrimp. I suspected something similiar when I dosed lugol's iodine to heavily in my tank in the past before, but could never say for sure.

I now only dose alk and calcium and do my waterchanges for everything else.

No its dead.
Thanks for the link and info bk. Ive heard salt pretty much has everything you need and waterchanges replenish the system. I do a 5 gal waterchange every week on my 55 reef.
Also I do about a 10 gal change weekly on my 75 predator tank. Think this is safe or overkill?
Thanks again
Eric

If you do regular water changes you will be fine. The only things I manually adjust are calcium, alkalinity and magnesium(rarely).

FYI I do a 20 gallon water change every other week on my 100 gallon.

Hope this helps.
