diamond goby head swollen

so yesterday i fed my eel some small fish feeders but all of a sudden out of nowhere the diamond goby steals it and eats it. it seemed lik it had hard time swallowing it

today i look at the tank and now he has this bad swollen head.

can anyone tell me wat it is? and how to take care of it? thank you

All I can say is to please keep up with your iodine dosing. Hopefullt that will decrease chances of infection. You can also treat the tank will a little bit of Maracyn, which is a fish antibiotic. Good Luck

That looks more like he damaged his gills somehow or has an infection/parasite in his gills causing the infection

I have used Melafix in the past with good success, just firm your Skimmer off when you dose it.

Also you should try and get your eel eating frozen food as soon as possible. Live feeders = eventually he thinks everything swimming around is food.
