What is the difference between snails? Do the snails eat different algaes? Are some snails better than others?

Each tool has its own job is the phrase that comes to mind. If you're looking for a crew, check out the quick crews at ReefCleaners.org. John's a great guy and will do you well, and he definitely knows what he's doing.

I believe they have. I have some astrea snails and I can tell you they eat brown algae (diatoms).

+1 for kbuser. Let reefcleaners come up with a clean up crew for you. They do right by their customers.
