DIY Lettace Clip....

hi,*i*went*to*my*lfs*the*other*day*to*buy*a*lettace*clip*but*they*were*£5.99*&*i*thought*im*not*paying*that*for*a*plastic*clip.*Anyway*luck*would*have*it,*today*my*mum*came*home*with*a*whole*bag*of*washing*clips*she*got*from*the*99p*shop*so*i*modified*one*by*melting*a*small*piece*of*plastic*tube*onto*it*&*sticking*it*in*a*suction*cup,,,small*job*but*saved*me*£5.99....

I'm not sure what kind of metal that clip has, but I would be leery of it rusting and leeching some kind of metals.

Also, lettuce has no nutritional value for saltwater fish. Use nori (seaweed) instead.

Metal is NOT good for Saltwater. Good job on the build though. Find an all plastic one.

I did think that but hopefully it will be ok as I have a simlar thing holding my venturi on & that's been ok, + the metal is a very small part of the clip but I will keep a eye on it though for corrosion. Thanks

Here is an easy lettuce clip for you. Rubber band around a small piece of rock tied to a fishing line. You can haul the rock up with the fishing line and rubber band a new piece of lettuce to it whenever you want then lower it back down.
