Does Anyong Know What this Little guy is?

He's about 1/4 inch long, looks like he has a red head coming up through a tube and seems to excreat like a spiders web strand. Right in the middle of the picture,just above the green enmi. What is it????

Vermatid snail. If you find the web irritates anything around it you can super glue the tube shut.
They are harmless... just annoying.

I found 4 or 5 also on my clam's outer shell. Will they grow like regular looking snails? You think I should oust them?

Nope. They stay in their tubes. I had a couple that got to be about the thickness of a chopstick before I killed 'em.

I have hundreds of them, from my FL live rock. I love them, but mine stay very small. Some of them ride on the backs of my snails, lol, going for a ride. When you feed or stir up the substrate, you'll see them come out and catch debris to feed. At first I thought I got some dog hair in the tank, but it was the vermatid snail. They help keep the water column clean. Not everybody's cup of tea, but mine seem to behave! :D
