Does the skimmer activity (amount of skimmate produced) related to the number of live stock in the tank like fishes ,anemones and invertebrates ??
because my Weipro 2012 doesn't produce good amount of skimmate in the cup while i have no fishes in my 30 gallon tank with number of anemones and 3 hermit crabs
nitrate = 5mg/l
nitrite = 0

Yes. If you have a lightly stocked tank, there won't be any fish waste for the skimmer to remove. So therefore, not much skimmate produced.

+1 BJ. Skimmers remove waste. Fewer fish = less waste to remove.
