Does this look right?

I have a blue Linkia starfish. I noticed today that his arms look like they are collapsing in on themselves, or flattening out. I am also seeing something hanging off the end of 2 of his arms, I'm thinking amybe poop? I hope the pic is clear enough to see what I am talking about.

is he eating and are you feeding him cuz he does need to be fed. alot of starfish you have to stick food under them so they will eat:D

i had one and make sure he doesnt hide in any rocks cuz he will starve to death and die:grumble:

actually didn't know that. My son saw him and had to have him. what would I feed him? Krill?

i usually put him on a frozen piece of shrimp that has thawed cuz they get nutrients like that. they do get some from the glass but i have found that with star fish they have to be fed

Interesting, my LFS where I bought him never mentioned it, and they are normally really good about stuff like that.

then ask your LFS but i have found over the last 2 years and now on my 3rd star fish :frustrat: that feeding them is the best method for keeping them alive. ive had my last star fish for almost a year now, so you might wanna check it out thats just my opinion

always better safe than sorry. Could be they overlooked it, forgot or that day just plain didn't care. I believe you #2

try spot feeding him and in a week he should fill back out for you

I feed my Stars too. They got 'trained' and get really excited to get some food their way.

no shrimp or krill in the freezer. think he may go after a small, or chopped silverside?

Chopped silverside. Just a little.

make it real tinay and sit him on top of it so the fish dont take it from him so he will have time to eat a lil of it

I'll try that in the morning when the lights come back on. I can feed the rest to the anemone.
