I'm.setting up my new 285 gallon tank, and I have a lot of dry rock. Out of the 300+ lbs of rock I will have is there a percentage that should be live compared to dry.
thanks

There isn't a percentage that has to be. It's just that the ore live rock it is, the faster it will be to make the rest of the rock live

Right now I have about 150 lbs of live rock and I was going to get another 50 to 75 lb and the rest be dry.

Id say with 150 lbs youre good, but like they said, the more the better (and faster). Youll probably want 450 lbs of total rock at the least anyways.

With 150 lbs already you are good, just add dry now. It doesnt take long for dry to become live.

You may know this but many beginners take the rock out of water for too long and much of the life on the rock dies and cause a cycle. Never take LR out of the water for long.
