I seen it tested on Reef Sanctuary.Its a gimmick,its snake oil so don't be fooled.

reefreak, have a question.
I am in the middle of moving twice. The first time i am moving my 75 gal and downsizing for 3 weeks into an apartment and putting the 2 live fish and some corals, etc into a long 20 gallon tank. Most of the rock I am going to put into a large tote and keep everything functioning like my 75 gal tank. After three weeks i am hoping to get into my new house and then moving everything into a 210 tank. I don't want to wait for 5 days to fill my tank up with my ro/di unit. Can i use tap water and condition it with prime and bio-spira, use most of the water from my current set up and be fine? Or would you suggest filling it w/ ro/di? Thanks

Ideally, you should only use RODI water. But if you have to use some tap water, that's okay, but keep in mind that any water conditioner will screw up your protein skimmer and it can take up to 3 weeks for the skimmer to start working again. You might want to look into buying bottled RODI water from Walmart as another alternative, it's pretty cheap.
