Engineer Goby Question

I just got a new 6in Engineer Goby yesterday. I put him in the tank and since that time he has not explored much just hung out behind the rock wall.

I now they are diggers, and all that jazz, but wondered if this is normal? Also the next thing is I know I have to feed 2 x a day... But the question is how do I get the food down to him behind the rocks and make sure he is getting the chance at eating the shrimp?

I was thinking of getting a turkey baster, putting the shrimp cube on and let it thaw a bit, then put it down behind the rocks and poof the shrimp out..

Anyone else got any TIPS Advise?

I have one in my tank as well, and 90% of the time he hides out with his head poking out from behind a rock. That's completely normal. Also, as far as food getting to him, if you have power heads in your tank, when you put the food in, put it in front of the power head so it'll blow it around the tank. He'll find it. Congrats on picking up one of my favorite fish! So cool looking :)!
