Sorry to hear this Erin, cyano has me ready to pull the plug on my 180 after 4 years in the hobby
Don't give up, Matt!!
It took me ages to reclaim mine. I believe in you.
Vary cool shot right there hows the new additions doing half a month later?
WHATS GOING ON IN HERE ... WHERE DA TANK?
Uh... it's still here and tanky. (With your light, I might add.)
Also jammy cardinal is literally the only fish that has not even thought about carpet surfing. My xenia is slowly taking over but my chalice looks pretty fantastic. Maybe I'll get productive and clean the front and snap some pictures soon.
(There's still cyano and hair algae and bubble algae to be had but nothing like... plague proportions anymore which is awesome.)
If I can beat the cyano and the hair algae and get excited about my tank again you can too Erin!
Haha. I just had to buy a new light (again) so tank is mad at me. And fishless, because my cat is an ahole.
It's almost nice to see the more experienced folks on here have tank issues sometimes I feel completely inept when something dies.
Hope your tank situation improves, Erin!
What light did you get ?
We needs details woman
Does this mean your cat had a snack?!
I got a PAR38 from Rapid LED. It's been in for about a week now (after being dark for a week and change).
And yes, one of the cats decided after living for almost two years surrounded by both the fish in this tank and the four bettas we had spread around the house that she needed to eat all of them. That jerk.
There are sooooo many comments that I feel are only appropriate for chat so I will just say that you kitty got hungry huh?
It happens. My cat decided to drink all the water out of one of my betta's bowls. Came home and found the tank empty, and the betta all dried up
My cat knows the Line of Death is across my office door so she's never seen our aquariums.
Oh she drank out of the bowls plenty. She just never bothered the fish.
Sorry to hear this Erin. If if makes you feel any better I had a tank crash while I was out of town and the power went out. I had switched cell phone providers and forgot to update my APex so I dint get notifications
Oh no!! That's terrible!! I know you were just starting to get back into it, too.
Yeah, its been one thing or another for quite a while - its been pretty frustrating. I've got the tank back running smoothly again - other than the dang gurgle in the sump where my durso's drain
I'm glad you're sticking with it!
