feeding banded butterflys

I just recently caught a very small banded butterfly he is about an inch long i got him in a saine net and he is alone in a smaller tank, but im not sure what to feed him he seems to suck the brine shrimp in and spit it back out a few times but im not sure if he's getting anything out of it. Anyone know what to feed them?

Just a regular banded butterfly? A black and white one?

Yep the atlantic banded.

Thanks for the help, ill just keep feeding him the frozen brine and hope for the best.

I do know mysis is better for fish in general. Try that.

Yup, it seems from that article that Erin posted, the fish will benefit from a variety of meaty foods.
