Feeding feather starfish

I bought a feather starfish a couple of days ago and have been trying to figure out what they eat. It seems very happy in my tank right now but I don't want it to starve to death. I tried to hand feed it a piece of clam like my other stars eat and no luck. Any suggestions?

I bought a red colored one about a year ago and it lasted about 2 months. It was so beautiful when I first got it. Good luck with yours.

I know a guy that had a 100 gallon tank. He had one of these. He added 4 tsp of live phytoplankton every day. He target fed it multple times everyday. It still died. There in the catagory of impossble. But i'm Shure u know that from reading the article.

We will see. It looks great now. I wish it would eat the clam like my other starfish. Then I would not worry so much. Oh, well.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. There are just some fish, corals and inverts that are better left in the ocean. Good luck.

At least it looks happier in my tank then it did at the store. :)
