Feeding open brain

How often and what should I feed an open brain coral? I got a red one yesterday and have done a little research since and have got conflicting opinions.

I have a couple brain corals and have never target fed them. One is over ten yrs old and the other about 6 yrs old. They get all they need from the lighting and water column. IMO

While Mike is right in that they don't require spot feedings, they do enjoy the occasional treat of mysis shrimp.:D

but only while the feeders are extended, mine extends the same time everyday, about an hour after the lights go out. Without them out you arent doing any good.

Since I got mine been feeding it Mysis about every other day and it has been gobbling them up like a pig! Thanks for all the input.

That's good to hear! I still can't get mine to take food... It sticks its tentacles out after dark, but usually the food doesn't stick and just floats away.
