filter for corals

What type of filter do you need for corals. Right now I have a 45 gallon tank with a wet/dry filter would that work for some easy corals?

Thanks

Your rock is your primary filter, and you would be better off getting rid of the wet/dry filter. They tend to become nitrate factories which will prevent you from keeping some corals and inverts.

But some easy great corals are zoas, mushrooms, leathers, pulsing xenia, any soft coral really. LPS corals can be very easy as well, but they require better lighting. What do you have for lighting?

Yeah, forget the filter and grab a hang on the back skimmer. The octopus brand ones have the best reviews. Then, make sure you have good lights. Everyone will tell you what is good and what is not for corals.
