We just put a Tail Spot Blenny in a tank with a Royal Gramma and the gramma opens his mouth as wide as ever and clamps down on the blenny's face! The blenny could not -at first-- get loose. Then he partially hid in the rock. The blenny does not look injured. I thought gramma's were peaceful?! This thing acted like a mini-shark! Seperate them or watch and wait it out?

lol. I saw the same as well. Never seen his mouth open so big. The Royal Gramma Basslet doesn't actually chase my Blenny. The Basslet only do that to scare the Benny off when he steps into his territory. As long as the Benny keeps the distance, everything seems fine. Not sure how aggressive your Basslet is though.

keep an eye on them, Royal Grammas are generally peaceful but he must feel threatened by your blenny. Give them a week or so to adjust to each other.
