fish stress

can i stress the fish enough for them to die by moving rocks around in my tank?
i dont like my rock layout too much and wanted to change so that it looks like a cave
can i just go in a move stuff around or do i have to do sumthing special

you can, i do it alot, i usually turn the lights off afterwards thought, try not to stir the sandbed to much

The fish will get freaked out a bit, but its not to big a deal.
The only thing you have to be careful of is fish jumping out of the tank.
I had a firefish that jumped out on me at least five times!

You don't have to worry; in the wild, storms that re arrange rocks are common, so it will not be a catastrophe but it will stress out the fish if you move the rocks too much. Also, make sure that all your fish are out of their respective caves. You don't want the fish to get trapped/squished.

so i moved the rocks around last night
i didnt move the rock the fishes sleep in
when the lights went on in the morning everything was good
