Frag a Green Star Polyp

Anybody Frag a Green Star Polyp? Its spread to several different rocks and there is really no way to take all the rocks out without causing an avalanche. Yes, I know these things spread. I'm thinking: wait till its fully retracted and then cut thru the purple mat between the polyps with a scalpel.

YOu got it. Those things are tough, it won't hurt it. I cut mine all the time, actually you can use a fingernail almost to cut it. All mine lived, no problem.

+1 seabee....if they're anything like my brown star polyps they're super tough and hard to get ride of. I scrubbed some of my overgrown LR with a bristle brush and they still came back. I currently have a 29g tank cycling so I through some of the LR w/ start polyps in and they're thriving. Go figure!

you can cut them with a scalpel - the one thing you want to be careful of it is that the scapel is nice & clean, they can get infected if it's a bad cut.
