Frag Tank Lighting. Help?

I'm looking into starting up a frag tank, but I'm having a really hard time deciding on lights for it. the diameters of the tank I have picked out are 48Lx24Wx8D. I plan on growing a variety of corals including LPS, SPS, and softies.

One option I have considered is purchasing individual LED light strips considering the depth of the tank is so shallow. I would buy a variety of 48 inch strips in different colors.

These are the ones I looked at.
They are 100 each and I think I would start with about 6
total: roughly 600
Is this going to be enough light for sps to grow healthily?
Are these light strips worth that much?
Is there a better brand I should check out?

The second option, and so far my first choice, I have considered is the AquaticLife HQI Metal Halide Fixtures with T5 HO and Lunar LEDs. This comes with 2 150w HID bulbs, 4 54w T5 HO bulbs, and 4 1w lunar LEDs.

Total:950
Is this a good, reliable brand?
Is this going to be way too much light?
Is it worth the 950?

So far, I have only worked with T5 and LED light systems on my aquariums, and I highly favor my LED's, but do mot favor their cost, of course. I would like to just get a all in one LED system, like the AquaIllumination Sol-

or the Acan 800 series-

but unfortunately, those are both a bit too far out of my price range. Please let me know any solutions/suggestions/answers that you have and if you know of another option that would fit my needs even better.

Thanks!

when i had my frag tank i didnt do the metal highlights or T-5s i was full LEDs and i still am.
go to Ebay and look up aquarium lights or hydroponic lights.
I had 6 Panals each having 225 LEDs and it worked Vary Vsry well for me.
there used for growing plants and it will treat corals Exactly the same.
Just look into it.
o and it really keeps the cost down 2.
