Wander how clownfish like floride?
I have to kinda agree with Ad and Biff both.
My LFS uses tap water in all their tanks including the big reefs and never have any problems with algae. But thats water from the city of Chattanooga.
I on the other hand cant use the tap water here at the house.
Catoosa countys water comes from a big spring that about 3 miles down the road from here.I had one of the ladys that works there actually test my tap water and it was way high for phosphates, zero nitrates. But it had copper in it,alond with a bunch of other stuff.

yeah. Yote, you are on to something there. I tend to piss in my tank every once in a while just to keep the fish guessing. They seem to like it.

Biff I got your back on this one.

Fighting algae is a never ending battle why make it worst by using tapwater. What about heavy metals like copper.Sorry,I don't believe those products that says it neutralize heavy metals.Don't take the risk, use RO/DI water.

Yote,I've actually read that a little fluoride is actually good for fish/corals.Just like for us it suppose to build strong bones/skeleton.Don't know how true that is for fish and corals though.
