going away/peppermint shrimp

Hey everyone, so I'm gonna be going to Virginia from Sunday till Friday. Should I feed my peppermint shrimp extra before I leave or should I just leave them. I've been putting an 1/8 cube of mysis shrimp in my tank every other to every 3 days. Basically just to give everything an extra treat and push the bacteria so I don't have a mini-cycle when I add fish. Plus, since when did peppermint shrimp get added to the refug type creature list? I definitely just watched my shrimp wrestle food away from 3-4 hermit crabs.

I'd feed a little bit extra before you leave, but everyone should be fine anyways.

Sounds good, but how much? Should a 1/4 cube be enough?

I doubt that the shrimp would even notice a week with you adding food.You'd be surprised at just how much there is in thank for shrimp to feed on.

Yea...but the first week and a half I was just letting them scavenge for the stuff in the tank. Think they depleted a lot of their optional food in that time. Plus they don't have any fish making messes for them to clean up.
